June Featured: Chocolate Licorice Fudge

I was asking my mom the other day what our June featured product should be and she said, "fudge."

As general as that may be, why not have our best product be our feature? Fudge it is!

As a company, we're run the standard gamut of taste-testing, experimenting with various flavors while perfecting the tried and true. My dad is behind pretty much all off the more interesting options we've tried, usually pushing them through with a fair amount of skepticism from the production staff (aka, the rest of the family :))

Every once in a while, though, I will admit, he's come up with a winner.

For our focus on fudge here, I'd like to talk about our Chocolate Licorice, one of his proudest achievements. While the prospect of chocolate and black licorice together might make you feel a little uncertain, it's become one of our most distinctive flavors!

At shows, we like to tell people that if they like black licorice, they will like this fudge. If not, than they probably won't. Pretty easy way to tell, right?

This June, I invite you to try our Chocolate Licorice fudge, a true culinary triumph! ;) I'd also like to invite you to visit our table at a craft show... you can sample it there for free. Check out our calendar for details.

Chocolate Tasting Bliss

You know what one of the best things about owning a chocolate company is? Testing our new products before they hit the shelves!

Last night, Mom, Leah, and Naomi all worked tirelessly to make hundreds of pounds (okay, I don't know exactly how many :P) of fudge and chocolate bark for a show Dad is doing in Toronto this weekend. I was working on other projects, but I did have a rather important role to play in the kitchen... sampling our new chocolate bark recipe! :D

We've been experimenting a bit with different recipes and other new specialty items that we're contemplating offering as standard products, and let me tell ya... I'm lovin' it! :D

If you're interested in sampling our fudge, be sure to check out our events calendar on our website to see where we'll be appearing next! We're averaging two shows a weekend these days, so we might be near you!

Featured: Fudge Easter Eggs

We're going to start doing a Feature of the Month from here on out, starting with April's Fudge Easter Eggs.

We started making the Easter Eggs a couple years back when we were looking for something cute to add to our spring table. The eggs' fudgy goodness made them a smash success! :)

Available is either dark or milk chocolate, the eggs are solid fudge enclosed in a chocolate shell, then dusted with a smattering of appropriately springy sprinkles. Cute, no?

The Fudge Easter Eggs are appropriate for the adult who secretly (or not so secretly) still loves holidays where they get candy, or for the kid with sophisticated taste.

Website Updates: Definitely Harder Than Crocheting

As it turns out, it's hard keeping up a website.

However, hard as it may be, updates are being made. Over the last day or so, I've been working on fixing some of the broken links around the site, as well as beefing up a few of the sections already in place. In particular, check out the brag fest on the Design Credits page... fun stuff. :)

In the meantime, stay tuned--there are even more fabulous revisions to come.

Eating Chocolate for a Good Cause

Hi everyone!

We are so excited to announce our support and fund-raising efforts to help families affected by autism through the Applied Biophysics Foundation. Years of research is now paying off with effective treatments. This money will actually improve the condition of the kids!

From now until the end of February 2009, 10% of all of our chocolate sales will be donated to this cause!

Gift Baskets are Here!

Actually, the truth is, they've always been here since the start of our company, but it's only been over the last few holidays that we've done much about them.

Our gift baskets are unique in that you can "custom design" your basket (or box or mug) from our selection of goodies, giving you the flexibility to give what you want and spend what you want! (Now you tell me how that's a bad thing.) For those of you who don't want to wade through our online menu, we offer pre-assorted baskets at set prices.

This month, we bring you the new Valentine's Day gift baskets! These are awesome--they even include some specialty items not listed on our website... currently they're only found at our local craft shows that we attend. *drumroll please*...

Chocolate Dipped Orange Biscotti!

They're amazing. Freshly baked and hand-dipped, even. Oh, and did I mention humongous?

Did I also mention... we ship! All of you out-of-towners and citizens from faraway lands need not suffer. :)

***NEWSFLASH***

The Valentine's Day gift baskets are now available for order online!
